DANS LA SUITE DE PAQUES – DONT LA CELEBRATION CETTE ANNEE 2010 COINCIDAIT POUR TOUS LES CHRETIENS – LES EGLISE DE JERUSALEM POUR LA TROISIEME FOIS APPELLENT A UNE GRANDE PRIERE D'INTERCESSION AU PERE POUR NOTRE TEMPS.

Le samedi 10 avril 2010 à 18 heures locale, pour la troisième fois, l'Eglise Mère de Jérusalem, accueillie pour l’occasion par l’Eglise grecque melkite catholique, se réunira pour appeler tous les Chrétiens dans le monde entier à se joindre à elle en une grande prière d'intercession pour notre temps. Les Églises orthodoxes, réformées et catholiques demanderont ensemble les grandes grâces de la réconciliation, de l'unité et de la paix, en commençant par Jérusalem.

Lieu historique de l’accomplissement du Salut par le Christ, lieu de naissance de l’Eglise sous l'inspiration de l'Esprit, si la vocation de Jérusalem est d’être un point de départ, c’est aussi un lieu de tensions et de conflits: la Ville sainte et l'Eglise Mère ont un urgent besoin du soutien spirituel et de la prière constante de toute l'Eglise, afin de la soutenir dans sa vocation d’épicentre de grâce, dans le Christ, pour l'Eglise et pour le monde.
Cette initiative de prière, inspirée au cours d'une veillée de prière au Saint-Sépulcre en 2005, a vu un développement qui ne peut qu’être qualifié de providentiel – si l’on considère ses difficultés objectives. Elle sera diffusée en directe télévisée au Moyen-Orient et en Europe, et en différé en Amérique du Sud et du Nord. Elle sera suivie par la diffusion d’un documentaire sur l'Eglise grecque melkite. Les deux éditions précédentes de cette initiative se sont déroulées respectivement auprès de l'Église syrienne orthodoxe et de l'Eglise évangélique luthérienne ; elles ont donné aux participants et aux auditeurs l'occasion de découvrir les spécificités de ces communautés. La prochaine édition, si tout va bien, sera accueillie par l'Eglise orthodoxe arménienne aux mois de septembre ou d’octobre 2010

THE CHURCH OF JERUSALEM CALLS AGAIN SOLEMNY CHRISTIANS TO A GREAT INTERCESSORY PRAYER TO THE FATHER FOR OUR TIME
On February 20, 2010 at 6 pm Holy Land time shall be held at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Jerusalem, presided over by H.G. Munib Yunan, bishop of the Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land, the second edition of the extraordinary prayer to which all Churches of Jerusalem invite. The Church of Jerusalem, with her strong charisma of Mother Church asks all Christians to join her in a communion of prayer, asking the Father for the graces of Reconciliation, Unity and Peace - beginning with the Church and with Jerusalem. The idea and the request is then that all Christians continue to pray together for these intentions, every Saturday at 6 pm local time. All the Christians of Jerusalem are invited to attend the event, i.e., the solemn call. The prayer will be broadcast live by TV channels throughout the Middle East, Europe, Brazil and North America.
Since the purpose of the initiative is also to be developing a greater mutual understanding between the Churches, this appointment will be followed by a documentary about the Lutheran Church – the hosting Church for this event.

Syrian Orthodox Church of St Mark, 6 pm Holy Land time

The first extraordinary prayer of all Churches for Reconciliation, Unity and Peace beginning in and proceeding from Jerusalem will take place in Jerusalem on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 6. p.m. local time, at the Syrian Orthodox Church of St Mark. It will be entirely held in Aramaic and presided by His Eminence Archbishop Mar Swerios Malki Mourad, Syrian Orthodox Patriarchal Vicar for Jerusalem.
It will be broadcast live or on 6 pm local time by several Christian channels:
- Telepace, Telechiara (5 pm Italian time)
- Telelumiere, Copt TV (6 pm Holy Land time)
- Cancao Nova, 6 pm Brasilian time)
All Christian communities of Jerusalem and all Christians everywhere in the world are invited to take part in this great intercessory prayer to the Father for our time. The Christians of Jerusalem that participate to it shall call Christians in the whole world to join them spiritually, in a communion of prayer of the whole Church.
With the help of the Lord, these prayer meetings will be organised by the different Churches of Jerusalem and broadcast once a month as from 2010. Each prayer meeting will be held, as far as possible, in the organising
Church’s liturgical language. Made accessible by adequate translation
and transliteration, these meetings in fact also seek to express the richness
to be found in the various traditions of the Church.
